One of the most renowned theaters in the German-speaking region. The “Schauspielhaus” offers a varied and interesting program that includes not only classics but also world premieres and new plays that may have political and contemporary relevance. Some of Bertolt Brecht’s most important works celebrated their world premiere here and numerous dramas by the Swiss Max Frisch and Friedrich Dürrenmatt were premiered at the “Pfauen”.
